Wiz For President

Wiz For Mayor

Wiz Khalifa was ranked as one of the top celeberaties to run for mayor on  globalgrind.com, with his recent popularity booming–ther is no doubt he would rock the polls. Although the interview was fictional, Wiz was quoted in saying his first act as mayor would be to “legalize weed” for the entire county. This comes as no surprise, given his passion for marijuana. Wiz’s most successful album to date is “Rolling Papers” and he continues to thrive in an industry that has been catching slack for over-exposure but he is only getting bigger.

“Everyone’s Doing it”

Wiz Khalifa, Everyone’s Doing It

Wiz Khalifa doesn’t believe that 79 percent of FGCU students haven’t smoked marijuana in the past 30 days. Just as many colleges attempt to curb drug and alcohol use among students, FGCU is no different. Posters hung around campus claim that the majority of the student body has not used marijuana in the past thirty days, yet Wiz Khalifa disagrees. It is undoubtedly true that he encourages marijuana use at his concerts, and the overwhelming majority of attendees participate willingly.

The tour was announced just yesterday (4-17-2012) and tickets go on sale Friday 4/20 at 4:20 p.m. The union of Pittsburg’s two best rappers should come to no surprise as Wiz and Mac Miller have teamed up on many projects in the past. Fans can expect a sold out tour that will include other famous acts such as “Schoolboi Q” and “Kendrick Lamar.” The tour is comprised of nine events total and is expected to sell out before the first week is through.

Did I mention Amber Rose in on Wiz’ new ablbum? She is definately making a splash

Amber Rose

Amber Rose, who is recently engaged to Pittsburg native and superstar rapper Wiz Khalifa, has been using the relationship as a platform to launch a music career.

Rose appears a couple of times on Wiz’s new mixtape “Taylor Allderice,” featured on songs with rappers such as Rick Ross and Snoop Dogg. Her profile in the music industry continues to grow, along with rumors and allegations of her intensions. She has been labeled a “gold digger” in the past, but as she launches a new career she hopes to break free of that stereotype.

Wiz & Cam’ron

This time Wiz is teaming up with New York native Cam’ron who is supposed to appear on Wiz Khalifa’s highly anticipated ‘O.N.I.F.C. set to release this summer. Wiz has been collaborating with a lot of artists both new and old, as he has said in the past “I want to work with everyone who shares the same creative ideals that I do.” Cam’ron has been absent from the rap game in recent years, but hopes to make a resurgence with his ’30 for 30’ song release promotion where he will release 30 songs in 30 days.

New Mixtape Released by Wiz Khalifa

Talor Alderice

Wiz Khalifa’s new mixtape entitled ‘Taylor Allderdice’ was unfortunately average when compared to his other albums such as ‘Mac & Devin Go To School’ and ‘Rolling Papers.’ Needless to sat that it was still an enjoyable listen, but it lacked the catchy hooks and witty lyrics that fans have grown to love. Perhaps Wiz was trying to go in a different direction, but it is the opinion of this listener that he rushed the process and should have taken more time to complete it. The pressure from fans who crave new music constantly can push artists to release albums before they are ready and I think this is a classic example of that.
